Dr. James Mworia
Group Chief Executive Officer - Centum PLCDr. Mworia is the Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Centum Investment Company Plc, a position he has held since October 2008.Dr. Mworia serves on several boards, including those of Sidian Bank Limited and Almasi Beverages Limited, where he serves as Chairman, Nairobi Bottlers Limited, Isuzu East Africa Limited and Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. Dr. Mworia also serves as a Director of Centum Exotics Limited, Investpool Holdings Limited, Centum Development Company Limited and Two Rivers Lifestyle Centre Limited. Dr. Mworia was also appointed as Chancellor of Machakos University in October 2016.
Dr. Mworia holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Nairobi, and a Doctorate in Business (Honoris Causa) from Machakos University. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a CFA Charter Holder, a Chartered Global Management Accountant, a Fellow of the Kenyan Institute of Management and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
Mr. Andrew Mukite Musangi

His practice areas include Mergers and Acquisitions, Debt Recovery and Restructuring; Securities, Insurance litigation; Employment and Labour law; Commercial Arbitration; Intellectual Property (with emphasis on Anti-counterfeit matters); Public Procurement; Public Private Partnerships; Conveyancing and Company law.
Mukite has extensive Corporate experience having served as a strategic adviser to several corporate clients both local and multi-national. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors at GenAfrica Asset Managers (formerly a Centum group Company) which has Assets Under Management in excess of USD $3 billion. He also serves as the Chairman of the Public Procurement Regulatory Board.
He also has extensive experience in property and land matters and has represented various high- profile clients with extensive land holdings in the region.
Dr. Moses Ikiara
Non-Executive DirectorHe holds a PhD. In Natural Resource and Environmental Economics from as well as a master’s in economics and Bsc. Agriculture.
Mr. James Ruitha
ChairmanMr. Ruitha has served as the Managing Director of National Housing Corporation, the parastatal mandated to build decent affordable houses in Kenya. He has also served in various managerial capacities such as Chief Operating Officer of PDM Valuers and Surveyors and Director in-charge, Valuation and Consultancy Services at NW Realite Limited.

Dr. Laila Macharia
Non-Executive DirectorShe is also a Non-Executive Director at the Barclays Bank of Kenya. Prior to this, she worked as Chief Executive Officer of Scion Real, a consultancy firm in the area of project finance and at Kaplan & Stratton, a top-tier Kenyan law firm, on transactions in Kenya, South Africa and Uganda. She also served as a Senior Regional Advisor at USAID East Africa and worked at the helm of the Africa Initiative at the Global Fund for Women in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Dr. Macharia holds a B.A. in Planning & Public Policy from the University of Oregon, a JD and LL.M from Cornell University and a doctorate from Stanford University, all in the United States.
Mr. Frank Ireri
Non-Executive DirectorMr. Ireri holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Nairobi, and a CPA certification. After graduating in 1985 from University of Nairobi with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, he joined Deloitte and trained as an Auditor for 2 years. He then moved to Arthur Andersen, where he worked for 3 years. From Arthur Andersen, Mr. Frank Ireri moved on to Citi Bank where he stayed for 10 years working in operations and IT.
Mr. Ireri then joined and left Commercial Bank of Africa as a General Manager in 1999. Between 2001 and 2002, he was Chairman of the Kenya Institute of Bankers. In 2002, he left Commercial Bank of Africa and joined Barclays Kenya. There, he remained for 4 years and served in various capacities, first as an IT Director, then as Regional Service Delivery Director and finally Africa Operations Director covering Kenya, Botswana, Zambia, Mauritius, Seychelles and Egypt. In 2006, he left Barclays for Housing Finance.
Currently, Mr. Frank Ireri also serves as Member of various boards, iBuild Global Inc, Flame Tree Group and Habitat for Humanity.
Mr. Kenneth Mbae
Managing DirectorMr. Mbae was appointed Managing Director of Vipingo Development Ltd. in August 2017 and is responsible for the establishment of the region’s new economic hub at Vipingo.
Kenneth joined Centum in 2010 as an intern in the real estate team and has grown to his current position though delivery of various projects including leading the setup of Pearl Marina (UG), establishing the estate and mall management business within Two Rivers Development, setting up Vipingo Development from value creations all the way to ground breaking. He also served as the Ag. Deputy Managing Director of Athena Properties.
Kenneth has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from Kenyatta University and a Harvard Graduate School of Design alumni having completed the Advanced Management Development Program. He is also a member of the Project Management Institute and Institute of Directors (Kenya).
Norah Buyaki Ratemo (alternate to KDC)
Non-Executive DirectorMs. Ratemo serves as the Ag. Director General of Kenya Development Corporation (KDC) and a Board Member with over 13 years’ experience in Credit Risk Management. She previously worked at Eco Bank Kenya as a Credit analyst, and before then, she was engaged as Assistant Manager, Securities and Documentation with Sidian Bank. She currently serves on the board of Kenya Wines Agencies.
Ms. Ratemo holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration Finance option from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and a Bachelor of commerce (Bcom) Accounting option. She is a Certified Public Accountant, CPA (K) and a member of the institute of certified public accountants (ICPAK) and Association of Women Accountants in Kenya.
